British royal family news reveals that Prince Edward and his wife Sophie the Countess of Wessex are showing the world the proper way to do an interview about royal life—we’re looking at you, Prince Harry , Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle.

The royal couple just had their first major joint interview together since their 1999 marriage. Sophie and her husband the Earl of Wessex have married at Windsor Castle 22 years ago. In their interview, they said they were flattered to be given a more significant role in the thinner monarchy and they displayed finesse and grace when referring to the awful Harry and Meghan bombshell sit-down Oprah interview.

The Wessex’s Are Loud And Proud

When the subject of the Markles’ trashy tell-all came up the couple simply laughed it off saying, “who?” and “what interview?” They also put forth an olive branch by saying the royals remain a family, “no matter what happens.”

Sophie said in an interview with The Telegraph Magazine, “We are still a family no matter what happens, we always will be.”

She also spilled that she had a “lengthy chat,” with Harry after the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral in April.

Prince Philip died at the age of 99 at Windsor Castle and the couple described how the coronavirus pandemic necessitated an odd ceremony.

Prince Philip’s Funeral Was “Odd”

Speaking about the funeral in April, Edward said, “It was extraordinarily odd walking into St George’s Chapel and finding the nave completely empty.”

“It’s always difficult with these kinds of things because you’re in the middle of it, so you’ve got no idea what it necessarily looks like from the outside. It became really poignant to be there because it was suddenly so very intimate.”

The funeral was also the first time disgruntled Harry was in the UK since abandoning his royal role and duty for a brand new shiny and wealthy life in the US.
