This Is Us fans disagree on many topics. For example, some This Is Us viewers hope that Kate (played by Chrissy Metz) and Toby (portrayed by Chris Sullivan) will somehow unite.
Other This Is Us viewers wish that the ultimate dad, Jack Pearson (played by Milo Ventimiglia) will show up in flashbacks and dreams in every episode of the next season.
But there is one topic on which This Is Us fans unite: We wish that the show would never end!
Alas, the final season is set to premiere this fall. And to get us prepared, Sterling K. Brown (who plays Randall Pearson) is spilling everything we need to know!
This Is Us Versus Game Of Thrones: ‘Stick The Landing’
Sterling K. Brown took home an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role on This Is Us.
And although he appreciates his time on the show, Brown apparently didn’t hesitate to try to guide season 6, reports Yahoo News.
In the process, the This Is Us actor slammed another blockbuster series.
Comparing the final season of This Is Us to that of Game Of Thrones, Brown urged writers and producers to avoid making the same mistakes.
“This is not to throw shade to [Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss],” insisted the This Is Us actor.
However, he then did throw shade.
“After I watched the finale of Game of Thrones, I said to Dan Fogelman, ‘Dan, we gotta do better. We gotta stick the landing,'” admitted Brown.
Fogelman, who created and continues to guide This Is Us, reassured Brown that the final season “will stick the landing.”
Brown thus believes that the final season of This Is Us will outdo Game Of Thrones.
“I think it would be hard for us to do worse [than the final season of Game Of Thrones], and I’m saying that as a fan,” added the actor. “I’m saying that as a fan of what was one of the greatest television shows in history, it failed to stick the landing. We will do better.”
Sterling K. Brown Reflects On This Is Us Season 6
Without giving away any major spoilers, Brown offered his insights on what fans can expect from season 6 of This Is Us.
Worth remembering: Fogelman planned the finale years ago, even filming some of that last episode. Thus Brown knows exactly what will happen.

“Our show has always been about the resiliency of humanity,” pointed out the actor. “It was originally pitched to me as a drama, and I think the reason people call it a weeper is because you have to have some really lovely highs in order to feel the lows, [so] you’re going along with the Pearsons and then all of a sudden, the rug comes out from underneath you.”
Prepare for both laughter and for tears, added Brown.
He noted that viewers often say that This Is Us requires keeping a box of tissues on hand. However, Brown believes that the humor often is unappreciated.
“[Viewers] say, ‘Oh man, that show keeps me crying all the time,’ but they fail to realize that right before that cry happened, you might have had a chuckle or two. The show will continue to be what it is all the way up through the end,” he promised.
