Coronation Street Spoilers: Is Alexandra Mardell Open To Reprising Role As Emma Brooks

Coronation Street spoilers and updates tease that Alexandra Mardell opened up about a possible return to the show. The actress is set to leave the cobbles next week but the actress is open to reprising her role in the future.

The show has already confirmed that Mardell is bowing out of the show as Emma Brooker. Her exit storyline was already revealed and it’ll have something to do with Ted Spear’s (Duggie Brown) death. The actress’ final scenes are set to air on Friday, April 8.

Mardell shared that she’s happy that the door is being left open for her character’s possible return.

“I’ve definitely not drawn a line under it,” Mardell said.

“I can see how people stay there for so long. I don’t know what the future holds but I’m just so glad that Emma is still alive, and hopefully, she remains alive,” she continued.

The actress has been with the show for four years and Mardell is eager to know what happens to her character off-screen. She’s interested to see a more mature Emma who still spews silly little one-lines, which she’s quite known for.

Fans may recall that Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) and Emma got involved in a car accident on New Year’s Eve. Faye picked up a drunk Emma from a party. On their way home, things take a turn for the worse when the pair run into Ted.

Emma got romantically involved with Jon Spears (Jordan Ford Silver). The latter is unaware that Emma is involved in the death of his grandfather. She tried to hide her relationship with Jon from Faye and Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) but her friends are bound to find out about it anyway.

Jon will surprise Emma by asking her to move along with him to Australia. He shares his plans to open a beach bar in a place where Emma visited before when she was young. Spoilers hint that Emma won’t give him an answer just yet but she promises to think it over.

Coronation Street – Jon Lindsay Learns The Truth

Later on, Jon will return to Emma’s flat to get his phone, which he forgot at her place. Faye and Craig will be shocked to see Jon. The latter will start to become suspicious and will eventually demand answers from Faye and Emma

Later in the week, he’ll learn about the pair’s involvement in his grandfather’s death. Emma’s numbers in Weatherfield will be numbered once Jon learns the truth.
