General Hospital Spoilers: Trina Pushes A Stunned Spencer Right Into Esme’s Open Arms

General Hospital spoilers hint Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) is going to encourage her boyfriend, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), to put their relationship on a shelf and seek to mend fences with his ex, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl).

This is going to stun Spencer, who thought Trina was right there with him in his excitement that they finally got to take this courtship to the next level and see what could become of it.

He’s going to be dumbfounded to hear her say the best thing for him is to figure out if he can work things out with Esme, but he’ll need to really be willing to hear her out before he can firmly disagree with her.

General Hospital Spoilers — Trina Robinson Pulls Back

As Trina starts to scale back on spending time with Spencer, he might assume it’s a knee-jerk reaction to Esme moving into Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) place right alongside Spencer. Perhaps it is, and she’s just wanting to protect herself.

However, the bigger problem is that Esme is hanging on custody of her son — Spencer’s baby brother, Ace Cassadine — for dear life. Spencer has to do something to loosen that grip if he’s going to gain custody from Esme. The easier way to do so would be to get Esme to trust him again, and what better way to do that than to woo her into doing it?

This theory of Trina’s might sound plausible to a young man with no conscience who was willing to couple up with a woman he hates again to take her down. He tried that once though, and at the time, he had a very good reason for keeping her at arm’s length — physically.

This time around, he would have to explain why they’re not getting intimate. When Trina suggests he would need to be willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done, Spencer will be stunned and possibly disgusted by the thought of it. But that doesn’t mean he thinks Trina is wrong.

Ultimately, Spencer is going to hop on board with Trina’s plan, again. If he can’t beat Esme as his game, he’s going to have to play her on her turf, quite literally. He needs to make sure Esme lets her guard down with him and learns to trust him before they prepare to send her away to prison again.
