Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are denying claims that their car chase story was nothing but a PR stunt. As many royal fans can recall, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with her mother Doria Ragland, were supposedly chased by the paparazzi for two hours on the streets of New York City last Tuesday.

However, many people believe that their claims might have been exaggerated, seeing how hard it is to even drive through the Big Apple with all of the bumper-to-bumper traffic. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Were Harry and Meghan really chased by the paparazzi? That’s what everyone wants to know, seeing how there’s no evidence of it ever happening.

Plus, a lot of people have pointed out that there’s also no videos posted on social media of any kind of chase happening in New York City on that same night. Yet, the Sussexes are adamant that it happened and are denying that they made up the story on their end. Their critics, of course, beg to differ.

Harry and Meghan’s publicist, Ashley Hansen, released a statement to Page Six that said, “Respectfully, considering the duke’s family history, one would have to think nothing of the couple or anybody associated with them to believe this was any sort of PR stunt. Quite frankly, I think that’s abhorrent.”

One source claims that the couple did not want to stop their car because they didn’t want the paparazzi to the exact location of where they were staying for security purposes. The couple were staying at a friend’s private residence at the time.

So far Harry and Meghan themselves have not made any additional comments about the matter. Now, whether or not the Sussexes get chased by the paparazzi again remains to be seen but for now it looks like they are going to lay low and stay away from red carpet events for some time. Watch this space.
